This morning I woke up with an urgent warning from the Lord concerning our safety. Well, your prayers provided an amazing wall of fire. Today our team witnessed a man shot about 20 times by Haitian police, very disturbing! it was quite an event to say the least. As we rushed out of the area, blocks down the road several other men were shot to death. Please continue to pray for us. We love you all

- – - Relative news:

Today A People and a Nation was discovered –

Today the name Haiti, is no longer mistaken for Hades. Today Haiti is no longer a place where people have to guess where it is on the map. This small (8 million people) little island called Haiti became the gathering place of many tribes, languages, people and nations. For the first time in the history of Haiti, she was presented before all tribes, languages, people, and nations and with no pretense God showed everyone what Haiti is really like. What I have found months after the earthquake is that, the destruction of the earthquake wasn’t what continued to draw people back to Haiti, but it was the reality and understanding of where Haiti has been before the earthquake and where she will end up unless a miracle takes place. Let me say this with soberness – God will re-introduce Haiti once more and He will invite ALL those that witnessed this historical event, but this time men will repent and put their trust in the LORD. The story started with an earthquake, but I promise it will end with a great shout of PRAISE from the four corners of the earth.

How do we then continue to stand until that day?

We wait with anticipation, faith, and we give ourselves to partnering with Christ with focus as He moves upon our hearts we do what He tells us to do. Scripture says, “Obedience is better than sacrifice And to heed than the fat of rams.” The word for us (Christian brothers and sisters that are standing in the gap with Christ on behalf of Haiti) is OBEDIENCE and LISTENING. Haiti’s solution to there restoration is NOT a formula made by man. The recipe is real humans (you and I) carrying the heart and burden of Christ for the people of Haiti. Haiti’s physical needs are a HUGE factor in this process and we can’t ever forget that, but it’s secondary. The primary focus is to capture the vision and heart of God for Haiti. So that we never look at Haiti as a passed events, but as part of us and some how Haiti will become part of our calling in Christ.

Quick OHMI Update since the earthquake.

I want to highlight a few things YOU did. Some of you gave out of complete lack. Since the quake you gave over $30,000 and because you gave we were able to:

Send out 7 teams, which consisted of doctors, nurses, builders, counselors and pastors from all over.

Care for thousands of victims.

Provide over $200,000 worth of medication.

Feed around 40,000 people with dry foods (rice, beans, oil, sugar).

Witnessed several hundred people giving their lives to Jesus, many being baptized and

several receiving physical healings.

You provided finances for me to go to Haiti five times this year and serve. And most importantly you sent our whole family for 10 days, which was the greatest gift of all. Our family was truly transformed by this trip. I share this because God takes notice of our deeds and He will repay everyone of you for your willingness to serve.

Lets NOT look at Haiti today in despair or hopelessness, but lets rejoice for God’s future for Haiti. And stir up yourselves for your part you get to play in that process.

Thank YOU!!!

James Adams Director: OHMI-HAITI

<div

I just returned from Haiti a few days ago, what we saw just broke my heart. I can only described the conditions as a mass campground with no return home in site. Please watch this video and pass this down to all your facebook fans, family members, or anyone you know who can help.

Tents4HaitiFamilies campaign – we’re asking our facebook friends to Pledge and Post. If you can pledge to buy one tent for Haiti and then post this on your facebook page. Our goal is to get 5 of your FBF to pledge to buy one tent for a Haitian family. Dicks Sporting Goods has made a great deal with us. They are giving us 10% off of every tent. It will be $55/per tent. The tent will house 6 people. This will help men, women and children from hurricane season and the intense elements of Haiti.

<div

They have been to 3 orphanages reaching out to the children. A few days a go, they had a Vacation Bible School with over 400 children and fed them with cook meals. So they ate and the gospel was preached to them. Also, while in Leogane at the village last week, a man came on wheelchair, crippled and left walking. Thank you Jesus. To top it off, 2 witch doctors came to the compound were the team was ministering to learn about the scripture. James said that these guys were really hungry for the scripture. Haiti is ready for a revival, for the harvest is riped. But the laborers are few…Pray for the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers to preach the word in Haiti and reach out to the losts.

Tomorrow, OHMI’s Medical Mission Coordinator, Robyn Brumble, will be returning back to the States. Please pray for safe travel. Tomorrow the team will be doing a food program in Carrefour. Please pray for all to go well. The rest of the team will be returning to the States on Friday (28th) and James will be returning on the (29th). Please pray for safe travel for all of them. Also pray for much grace for the remainder of the trip. Haiti is rough place to be in naturally and spiritually. The team have had some real rough and tiring days, working really hard, but fill with blessings and tokens of good memories. Nonetheless, it’s hard for them being out there. Please pray for their last days there to be a day of refreshing and grace.

Below are some of Robyn Brumble’s facebook updates about the past week (posted here with her permission):

May 19th - ”We literally watched an elderly Haitian man come to our clinic crippled and relying on crutches to walk. After the ministers on our team prayed healing over him, I personally watched him walk away with NO crutches! THAT my friends is why we are here!”

May 20th – “Back at the camp base after another day providing care and ministering in a village about 2 hors from where we are staying. A young boy wanted to be baptized today. We had no body of water to take him to, do he got baptized with bottled water! Gotta be innovative here. Also passed out 100s of meals in this same village. So much hard work, but so much fun!”

May 21st – “So much to report today….started out by going to an orphanage that wld not let us past their gate for unknown reasons.. Please pray for the children there. Then got in a fender bender on a school bus. Then onto another orphanage in Carrfour where we were able to love on and be blessed by about 40 orphans living in …an area the size of my living room! Thank you Lorld for All you have blessed us with in America…”

May 22nd – “Chilaxin today on the base in the 90 degree heat. Have had a little boy on my mind all day named Cliff from the orphanage yesterday. He came up to me and said with a huge smile, “I love you” in plain English as he gave me a hug. I’ve melted in more ways than one this week!”

May 23rd – “ Did I mention I fell in the mud today on the way to the VBS?? My knee flexed backwards and I heard a loud pop. I was sure I had broken it, but now after ice, wraps, and pain meds..I’m pretty sure I just sprained it. Thank you Lord for no breaks ”

May 24th – “Treated what seems like hundreds at another medical clinic today. My head is itching from seeing so many rashes, ringworm, and scabies! Glad to be part of Such an awesome team here that works so well together. My knee is healing VERY quickly, as I can slightly bend it now without pain. Thanks for your prayers. They are working!”

May 25th – “Many salvations and baptisms at the medical clinic today. I’m almost overwhelmed by all I have witnessed here, but so honored to proclaim it! Off to an orphanage with 50 babies tomorrow…saved my favorite for last…BABIES :0)”

May 26th – “Great today loving on kids at the orphanage. Thanks for all the wonderful donations… We were able to bless them with a ton of stuff! The kids were hugging me and calling me “beautiful big mama” in creole as they hugged on me. So much fun to love on them, as they are hungry for it. Home tomorrow night”.

Blessings to you and yours,

Nahomie Moise, OHMI Admin/Operation Director

OHMI Team in Haiti: Basic update

Haiti

Ministry
<guid

Communication has been scarce so I don’t have all the details, just general info for now.

The team spent the past 2 days in a village in Leogane, the same village that the March trip team visited. During those 2 days, they set up a medical tent and provided medical cares, as well as did pastoral care. They provided some of the people with tents for shelter and today they held a food program, where about 200 families received dried goods (rice, beans, and oil). At least 3 people got save today and were baptized right away. It sounds like this team encountered quite a few teeth problems/cavities in the village and wished that they had a dentist on board. So, for the dentists out there, we might need your help on the next trip.

Tabitha Adams and the children will be flying back to the States tomorrow, while James Adams remains with the rest of the team until the 29th. Here is a short except from Tabitha’s facebook update: ”Definitely a different feeling from 2 years ago. I actually don’t want to leave Haiti tomorrow… The kids have had the best time. Today Selah and Faithful went and got me water, “ON THEIR HEADS”! It was so cute, they really are haitimexipols. =)”. Please pray for their protection and safe flight as they fly out of the country.

Other prayer needs: Continue to pray for protection from sickness for the team, and much grace. The weather in Haiti is very unpredictable, with really hot dusty days, to raining nights at times. The mission field is quite uncomfortable, but even more uncomfortable in Haiti with the heat and unventilated cars. Please for strengths for the team members to endure the rough conditions. Please pray for an outpouring of the manifestation of the Spirit of God for hearts to change and more souls to turn to the Father. Tomorrow, the team will be ministering in Carrefour, please keep them in your prayers.

Thank you for all your loving prayers, many blessings to you and yours!

Nahomie, OHMI Admin/Operation director

OHMI Team update: Rest of team will be in Haiti today!

Haiti

Personal
<guid
